Jinzhe Wang, Class of 2024

I have always been sensitive to colors, and studying Geography & GIS can help me use this talent while also improving my programming skills. Taking a GIS approach and perspective on different cities, social situations, etc. allows me to analyze things in a more objective and rational way.

Geography can help me understand the topography and customs of a country, and the geographic factors that lead to the location of certain industries.

I really enjoy learning all of these concepts and hope to use my knowledge and skills on more specific problems, such as planning the location of a new commercial area in a city or analyzing the distribution and pollution of soil or water. Also, I see many future opportunities to do GIS software development and processing.
