Judith Keller is a visiting doctoral researcher in GGIS and member of the "Authority and Trust in American Culture, Society, History, and Politics" graduate program at the Heidelberg Center for American Studies and the Geographies of North America working group at Heidelberg University, Germany. She visited New Orleans in 2018 to conduct research for her master's project on affordable housing, and recently returned there to speak with residents of the Make It Right Foundation's troubled development in the Lower Ninth Ward.

Judith's article How Brad Pitt's green housing dream for Hurricane Katrina survivors turned into a nightmare generated a large amount of media attention and she was invited to appear on News Nation along with Ron Austin, an attorney who filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of Make It Right homeowners in New Orleans.
