I enjoy working with data to help people, and I recognize solutions are place-specific. Place-based cultures, land use, and natural resources are always important factors when thinking about engineering and humanitarian solutions and I plan to apply my knowledge in a GIS Analyst role in an environmental NGO or NPO.
My advice for students considering a major in GGIS is to be open to exploring the different aspects of Geography so you may become a holistic thinker.
