Lirong Kou (advisor: Mei-Po Kwan) has received a Graduate College Dissertation Research Travel Grant to support her dissertation research this summer in Chicago and Guangzhou, China. Her dissertation project is entitled: Listening to Urban Sounds: a Comparative Study between the U.S. and China on Geographic Contexts and Residents' Perceptions of Sound.
